2008 Papajohns.com Bowl Tickets Go on Sale June 1Birmingham Game Will Feature Teams from SEC, BIG EAST on Dec. 29ESPN Regional Television, Inc., announced today that tickets for the third annual Papajohns.com Bowl will go on sale at 1 p.m. CT Sunday, June 1. Tickets are $43 each and can be ordered online at www.papajohnsbowl.com or by phone at (205) 413-4849. The 2008 Papajohns.com Bowl will be played at Legion Field on Dec. 29. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN and broadcast nationally on ESPN Radio. For a limited time, June 1-15, the Papajohns.com Bowl will offer a Father’s Day special: “Take Your Papa to the Game.” Fans can buy three tickets to the 2008 Papajohns.com Bowl and get one free ticket (a $43 value) for their dad. The special offer includes a large, one-topping pizza, compliments of your Birmingham area Papa John’s. The first two matchups in the Papajohns.com Bowl featured the BIG EAST and Conference USA, with the BIG EAST winning both contests. The inaugural Papajohns.com Bowl was played in December 2006 with the South Florida Bulls and the East Carolina Pirates playing in front of 28,527. The 2007 game featured the Cincinnati Bearcats (ranked #20 nationally) and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in front of 32,595 fans.
