DEMN’s Gary Perrelli Honored by Cabletelevision Advertising BureauReceives 2008 President’s Award at 26th Annual CAB Dinner
Disney and ESPN Media Network’s Gary Perrelli, senior vice president, afilliate ad sales, received the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau’s President’s Award at the CAB’s 26th Annual Awards Dinner, held last night in New Orleans, La. Perrelli was chosen by the CAB for his passion and commitment to local advertising sales for both large and small businesses. This is the first time the award has been given to a representative of a programming network. “On behalf of the CAB and its membership, we’re thrilled to honor Gary for his passion and commitment to the local advertising business,” said Sean Cunningham, president and CEO of the CAB. “Gary’s leadership and enthusiasm embody all the qualities of excellence we seek in a president’s award winner.” At DEMN, Perrelli oversees and manages the policies, programs and departmental structure for insertable subscriber base and annual local ad sales revenues for Disney and ESPN Media Networks. He was recognized by the CAB for four consecutive years with the Network Achievement Award for leading the industry’s top local ad sales team. “Gary is most deserving of this honor,” said David C. Preschlack, executive vice president, affiliate sales and marketing, Disney and ESPN Media Networks. “He has consistently led his team to set the industry standard in local ad sales and ESPN is fortunate to have someone of Gary’s caliber on staff.” Perrelli is an active voice in the cable and advertising industries and is a member of the CAB, The National Cable Television Association (NCTA), Cable Television Association of Marketers (CTAM), National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT). He has also held a variety of leadership positions within the industry, including President of the New England Cable Television Association. He served on NECTA's board of directors, NECTA's executive committee and the Board of Directors at the Connecticut Television Network. - 30 - |
