Chris Eames Joins ESPN As Vice President of Multimedia Sales For New Sales Office in AtlantaPlease click here to access and download headshot. Chris Eames joins ESPN as vice president, multimedia sales and will open new Atlanta-based sales office, it was announced today by Eric Johnson, executive vice president, multimedia sales. In his role, Eames will oversee one of the multimedia sales teams responsible for national advertising sales across the spectrum of ESPN media assets for Southeast-based clients and agencies. Eames will be based in Atlanta and report to Dave Rotem, senior vice president, multimedia sales in New York.
“Chris’ sales and marketing experience expands over a 20-year career in the Southeast where he has many long standing relationships with both the agency and client communities,” said Johnson. “This strategically aligns us with a stronger presence for multimedia sales in the marketplace.”
Eames joins ESPN from Turner Broadcasting where he was responsible for creating, developing and executing key client sponsorships, strategic alliances and marketing partnerships for the sports and entertainment sales divisions during his 15 years with the company. While at Turner he also handled sports sponsorship and integrated sales, and ran new media sales, where he was responsible for leading a division of digital, wireless, and branded entertainment applications.
Prior to that, Eames worked in promotions and marketing for a variety of companies including National Promotion Services and US Communications as well as in fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
Chris was graduated with honors from Emory University in 1984 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a bachelor of science degree in economics.
