Jeremy Green

Jeremy Green joined ESPN in 2005 as the ESPN.com NFL Insider after having served as Director of Pro Personnel for the Cleveland Browns.  In his role Green writes columns and provides analysis multiple times each week for ESPN Insider, the premium content section of the site.  In addition, Green – who is the son of Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green – hosts the weekly Sunday online interactive news and chat forum Primetime HQ on the free main section of ESPN.com and also contributes to ESPN Radio’s weekly Sunday updates, 1-8 p.m. ET, including scores, analysis and action from around the NFL.  

Prior to his new role, Green spent five years in the Cleveland Browns' front office, working his way through the Pro Personnel Department. Beginning in 2000 as a Pro Personnel Coordinator, Green excelled and took over as the Director of Pro Personnel for the 2003 and 2004 season.  In addition to evaluating and compiling advance scouting reports on upcoming opponents, he played a role in the acquisition of players during the NFL- free agent signing periods and the regular season and assisted in the negotiation of player contracts.

Prior to his stint with the Browns, Green served as a regional scout for the San Francisco 49ers from 1998 to 1999. Green’s father, Dennis, is the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and previously served as the coach of the Minnesota Vikings for 10 years, leading the team to four NFC Central titles and eight playoff berths.

In 2004, Green was inducted into the Kaleidoscope Magazine 40/40 Club which recognizes 40 African Americans – age 40 and under – who make significant contributions in the Cleveland area and within their organizations. He holds a degree in Physical Education and played basketball at Iona College in the 1989-90 season before transferring and playing basketball at Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo in the 1991-92 season.
