College Basketball Analyst

 

Stacey Dales joined ESPN as a women’s college basketball studio analyst in the 2002-03 season. Fresh from leading the Oklahoma Sooners to the 2002 NCAA Championship game, Dales joined ESPN for its previously unprecedented coverage of all 63 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament games. The two-time All-American added college football and basketball sideline reporting duties to her assignments in 2004-05 season.

KARA LAWSON
ESPN College Basketball / NBA Analyst

Kara Lawson, a point guard for the WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs, joined ESPN in 2004 as a women’s college basketball analyst. After serving as a color analyst during the 2004 and 2005 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championshi, she added NBA courtside reporting to her duties in 2006.  She also became a studio analyst during regular-season women’s college basketball games and during the Championship that year. On Jan. 12th, 2007 she became the first woman analyst of an NBA game.

DORIS BURKE
Basketball Analyst & Reporter

Doris Burke, a versatile basketball commentator who calls both men’s and women’s college and pro contests, has worked on ESPN basketball since March 1991 and the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.   In addition to her work with ESPN, Burke serves as a WNBA analyst for the New York Liberty on MSG Network (since 1998) and a women’s college basketball analyst for CBS Sports (since 1998) and Westwood One Radio (since 2000).

REBECCA LOBO
Basketball Reporter

Rebecca Lobo, former University of Connecticut basketball standout, 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and former WNBA star, primarily serves as a sideline reporter for ESPN and ESPN2’s exclusive national coverage of the 2008 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship, regular season and WNBA telecasts. Lobo, who was a member of the Huskies’ 1995 National Championship team, joined ESPN in 1997.

Mike Patrick, who joined ESPN in 1982, is the play-by-play voice for many of the network's top events, including Sunday Night Football, the NCAA Women’s Final Four and NCAA men’s basketball.

In June of 2007, NCAA Championship-winning head coach Carolyn Peck returned returned to ESPN as a basketball analyst for women's college basketball and the WNBA.  As part of her role, she will contribute to studio shows and games across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNEWS throughout each of the aforementioned basketball seasons.
