Tom Rinaldi

Correspondant for SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, College GameDay and NFL Countdown

Tom Rinaldi is an ESPN correspondent based in the New York, contributing to SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, Outside the Liens Nightly, College GameDay and NFL Countdown.

Prior to joining ESPN in May 2003, Rinaldi worked for CNN/Sports Illustrated as a reporter from 1998-2002. Previously, he worked for KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon, as a reporter from 1996-1998.

Rinaldi won a Sports Emmy award in 2007 in the “Outstanding Long Feature” category for reporting on SportsCenter’s “Travis Roy” piece. He is also the recipient of three Regional Emmy Awards, three Associated Press Awards, as well as the USA Today Feature-of-the-Year award.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Rinaldi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 and a Masters of Arts degree in Journalism from Columbia University in 1993.

Rinaldi is married, and enjoys running and golf.
