Former NBA player Tim Legler joined ESPN in 2000 as a studio analyst for ESPNEWS. Legler also appears regularly as an analyst of ESPN2’ NBA Fastbreak Tuesday, a weekly whip-around show that takes viewers to live NBA games across the country, and NBA Fastbreak.

The sharp-shooting guard rose from the ranks of the CBA to NBA after leaving La Salle University in 1988. He played for five NBA teams – the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards.

In his first season as a Washington Wizard, Legler burst into the national spotlight at the 1996 NBA All-Star Weekend when he won the three-point shooting contest. The players he defeated included Dennis Scott, Steve Kerr, and Glen Rice. Legler went on to lead the NBA in three-point shooting, .522 that season, falling just shy of the all-time single-season record of .524.

Legler received a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002.
