Seth Markman is a senior coordinating producer in the studio production department, overseeing ESPN’s NFL studio shows including Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and NFL Live. Markman oversees every aspect of planning, preparation and presentation of ESPN’s NFL programs and works directly with the on-air personalities, as well as field and feature reporters. Markman’s responsibilities also include oversight of ESPN’s coverage of the annual NFL Draft, Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and Super Bowl, and he played an integral role in Monday Night Countdown’s first-ever Sports Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Weekly Studio Show category in 2008. Markman joined ESPN in June 1993 as a production assistant. He was subsequently promoted to associate producer (1995-96), highlight supervisor (1996-98), producer (1998-2002) and coordinating producer (2002-07), until his recent promotion in the summer of 2007. A native of Hightstown, N.J., Markman is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism and history in 1993. - 30 -
