Jay Levy is the senior coordinating producer for Baseball Tonight, responsible for the day-to-day production of the nightly highlight, news and information program. Previously, Levy served as the senior coordinating producer of SportsCenter, overseeing the news gathering and editorial and creative direction for the program. Previously, he was coordinating producer for Sunday NFL Countdown (1999-2000.) Levy, winner of two Emmy Awards, has produced the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for ESPN2 (1998-2000), the NFL Draft “second set,” which incorporated video highlights and live one-on-one interaction to break down selections (1999-2000) and Outside the Lines: CART/IRL Wars and the Indy 500. Also, he produced Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, NFL Prime Monday, SportsCenter, and was involved in the launch of RPM 2Night and RPM 2Day on ESPN2 Levy joined ESPN in July 1993 as an associate producer. He was involved in the launch of ESPN2 and Sportsnight, and produced features for NFL Gameday before being promoted to producer in 1994. Prior to joining ESPN, Levy was a producer at PGA Tour Productions (1990-93). He served as production assistant/associate producer/producer at Reid-Dolph, Inc. (1986-89) and was a sports information director/graduate assistant at the University of Florida (1985-86). A native of Kingston, N.Y., Levy received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from SUNY Binghamton in 1985.
