Stephanie Druley is a senior coordinating producer in the studio production department. She oversees all NFL studio shows for ESPN -- including the Emmy Award-winning Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, NFL PrimeTime and NFL Live. In addition to managing all content, planning, budgeting and staffing for these programs, Druley is responsible for ESPN’s annual on-site coverage of the Super Bowl, as well as SportsCenter features during the NFL off-season.
Druley was promoted to her current position in July 2007 after previously overseeing Sunday NFL Countdown, a program she worked on for more than a decade. She has led the popular two-hour weekly NFL preview show to three Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Weekly Studio Show category (2001, 2003 and 2007), and, in 2008, both Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown were nominated for a Sports Emmy for the first time. Druley started as an associate producer (1996-99) and advanced through the ESPN ranks from highlights supervisor (1999-2000), producer (2000-02) and coordinating producer (2002-05) to being named senior coordinating producer in the fall of 2005. Today, Druley oversees the planning and presentation of ESPN’s NFL shows and works directly with the on-air personalities, as well as field and feature reporters. A key member of the SportsCenter features unit during the NFL off-season, Druley oversees the annual SportsCenter "My Wish" summer series, a collaborative effort with the Make-A-Wish Foundation that chronicles the granting of unique sports-related wishes for children (ages 6-15) with life-threatening medical conditions. The heart-warming and critically acclaimed series started in 2006 and has involved sports teams and professional athletes, including Drew Brees, Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, Jimmie Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Mariners Druley began her ESPN career in 1990 as a production assistant. In 1993, she returned home to Houston, Texas, to work the next three years as a freelancer -- primarily for ESPN covering the NFL and NBA. She returned to ESPN full-time in 1996. Druley is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor of journalism degree. A member of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT), Druley successfully completed the 50 Class XVI fellows program (2007-08) in WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, a distinguished year-long educational program designed to elevate women leaders in the cable and telecommunications industry.
